Description: Normally when I take viewer challenges during a livestream, I'm open only to time controls of 5|0 or faster. However, for this particular livestream on 10-9-21 I accepted Rapid time controls. Highlighted is the 1st game against a viewer. I had the black pieces and played 1...b6. When black fianchettos queenside, it's important to be aware of white possibly establishing a pawn on d5, with pawns on e4 and c4 supporting it. White's triangle formation of pawns can significantly limit the mobility of the queen bishop. If such a white setup surfaces, it's important for black to play energetically and strike not only at d5 with the move e6, but also undermine the central control the white queen knight has with the move Bb4. In the featured game, white takes a single step with the e-pawn which forms a healthy and solid pawn presence in the center. The Rapid time control for this game is 10 minutes with a 0 second increment. PGN 1. d4 b6 2. c4 Nf6 3. Nc3 Bb7 4. Bg5 e6 5. e3 Be7 6. Nf3 c5 7. Bd3 cxd4 8. exd4 h6 9. Bxf6 Bxf6 10. Nb5 d6 11.
